Nurses and Midwives Association of Slovenia is the national regulatory body for
nursing and midwifery care. It maintains a national register of qualified nurses
and midwives, and is responsible for issuing, renewing and withdrawing licenses
in this field.
According to our regulations, all nurses and midwives in Slovenia must have a
valid licence and must be registered with Nurses and Midwives Association of Slovenia in order to be able to work
independently in their profession. This applies also to nurse assistants, dental
assistants, and health educators.
